Housing and shelter are basic human needs, and it’s not something we take for granted. We share the goals of Habitat for Humanity, which is dedicated to bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay is an important and much-needed community-based organization that strives to make a positive impact on as many people as possible by helping to build decent, affordable homes and provide home ownership opportunities to qualified families who live and work in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.
But Habitat for Humanity is not a giveaway program. Families purchase Habitat homes with a down payment, sweat equity, and an affordable mortgage. It relies on generous donations to keep the organization funded and operational. Every little bit has a real and lasting effect in the community.
With that in mind, Wayland Properties will give 3% of each real estate sale and 3% of profits from its property management division to Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay.
Additionally, Wayland Properties will donate 7% of EVERY real estate transaction they make to the 501 (c3) nonprofit organization of the seller/buyer’s choice.

These are unprecedented times that are filled with uncertainty & fear. The county of Monterey is under a "Shelter in Place" order. Please stay home as much as possible for your safety and for the safety of others. Thankfully, real estate services have been declared an essential service!
We are still showing the properties for lease and are taking every precaution possible! We will open the door for you and allow you to self-tour a property. Please touch as few surfaces as possible during the tour. If desired, bring your own mask & gloves.
I feel like we cannot say this enough... We want to work with you! Under this shelter in place order rents are still due. If you are experiencing a financial hardship, please let us know immediately! Our greatest desire is to help and we will work with you!
We are still working diligently to collect rents. If we hear from a tenant that they are experiencing a hardship, we will communicate that to you asap!
